Karen Johnson

Karen is a former English teacher—turned stay at home mom—turned writer and social media strategist. She's written for an endless array of parenting sites such as Scary Mommy, Her View From Home, Babble, Sammiches and Psych Meds, KC Parent, and Today Parents. She has essays published in several anthologies and published her own humorous mom journal entitled "I Brushed My Hair Today: A Mom Journal for Mostly Together Moms." 

Karen writes about all things motherhood as well as womanhood, social justice issues, her love for coffee and wine, and all the subtopics in between. She lives in the northern Midwest with her husband, three children, two acquatic turtles, and one bernedoodle puppy. She obviously has little to no time for hobbies, but when she can sneak away for a moment to herself, Karen loves to read (historical fiction is her favorite), exercise, travel, eat at restaurants so she doesn't have to cook or clean the kitchen, and swoon over fancy HGTV homes so she can forget that her house is covered in stinky socks and ketchup smears.
